Google vs. Toll Violation Camera
The Georgia State Tollway Authority claims I didn’t pay a $0.50 toll. The fine is $55, $30 of which is from my rental car company.
Does google prove them wrong? Here are the facts:
1) I remember as clear as day paying the toll. I was driving from Roswell to the airport, pulled over into a “0.50 Only” lane, and pulled two quarters from the front pocked of my computer bag, which was on the passenger seat of the car. Since this was a business trip, I noted the toll and expensed it upon my return home.
2) The notice states that I was in lane 014 when the alleged violation occurred. Lane 014 is a cruise card lane.
3) The image of my rental car in the notice shows a curb and guard rail to the left of my car.
4) The following image pulled from google doesn’t seem to fit the toll camera. I know perspective can be a funny thing, but does it look like there is a lane (and then some) between my car and the curb?
